Donna is available for Cowboy Poetry readings in the Wichita area. She recently performed for The National Convention of The Grand Council of the Ladies' Oriental Shrine of North America. She charges no fee but asks for a charitable donation by “passing the cowboy hat”. Donations are used to care for and feed rescued animals at the Wheel of Fortune Ranch.

The following personally autographed Western Novels may be purchased directly from Donna Penley:
The Flim Flam Man $17
This is the story of a traveling 'snake oil' salesman. The main character Willem, travels with his box wagon across the arid plains of Kansas. Willem has no qualms about selling his 'cure-all', and finds he can sell more of it by entertaining folks before they buy. He carries his guitar with him as he and his big Missouri mule, Prophet, travel across the plains. Something momentous happens that changes Willem's life.
The Story of Ty Durant $17
This is a story set in the prairie states during the time of the great trail drives, before barbed wire fenced off the great vast prairies and caused the end of an era. Cowboys rode together, ate together, lived together--sometimes for months or years. Real friendships were made and this is the story of such a friendship--friends willing to lay down their lives for each other.
From The Horse's Mouth $15
This horse, Richard, has a tale to tell to all readers of his long, full life. He has made friends with other horses, or not. He is smart, sly, and sometimes cantankerous. It's all about his view of events, people and horses he has known during his life.
Teaching children about the natural world should be treated as one of the most important events in their lives.
