WORKIN’ WOMEN II
By Donna Penley Now, this is the second version of my poem, Workin’ Woman. It goes beyond what I said in the first poem – takes a look at the Grittier part of raisin’ younguns. We work beside our man, raise kids, cook an’ clean – Tryin’ to further th’ “family dream”. But, here’s where we give it all that we’re worth – It’s th’ dubious pleasure of good ol’ “child birth”! Heels high in stirrups, huffin’ & puffiin’, trying t’ have that kid While he’s in th’ waitin’’ room, with his buds, braggin’ on what HE DID! Then after it’s all over, he brings ya chocolates an’ roses; Which covers about everything, his Majesty supposes. Then, if you eat those chocolats, it’s you who’s gonna pay – ‘Caue it gives th’ kid th’ drizzlin’ runs for th’ best part of 2 days! (This is assuming you are breast feeding that kid) When you get home, you are expected t’ do your usual bit; Then if you’re too tired to pleasure him, he’ll throw a bitchin’ fit! So, ladies, just remember that we’re th’ “weaker sex; But th’ world couldn’t work without us – it’d be in one big fix! But, there’s somethin’ t’ remember, an’ t’ hold above th’ rest – Things finally get better when those younguns leave th’ nest!!! Copyright Protected

Women are never the weaker sex. We should stand for equality and fairness. Everyone should be given a chance to work as much as males do. Even if I am a man, I believe that all women deserve an equal treatment in life. Women will always be as strong, if not stronger, than man.

These lines contain a deep meaning. We can feel how close they are to our real life. The poem conveys a special attitude of the mother to her children.
