RIDIN’ DRAG
By Donna Penley Ridin’ drag can be good or bad, Jest ask any cowboy. A’breathin’ dust an’ cow manure, Jest like a plain ol’ plowboy! Th’ bad part, such as mentioned above, Jest makes ya plain wore out. But keepin’ th’ dogies gathered up Is what it’s all about. Th’ good part of ridin’ drag, Is that sometimes it’s serene, With yore saddle creakin’ ya a song, It’s hard to feel real mean. An’ th’ boys up ahead a’ridin’ point Can’t match th’ way ya feel; A’watchin’ little dogies playWhile follerin’ mama’s heels. So, good or bad, this ridin’ drag, Can be real wild or tame. But th’ bossman puts ya where yore put --- An’, I guess th’ pay’s th’ same!! Copyright Protected
