I AIN’T RIDIN’ SIDESADDLE!
By Donna Penley Some folks jest don’t relish life Like they ought to do –Don’t rowdy it an’ randy it, Paint th’ town a bright red hue. They live their life “conservative”, Never riskin’ a great deal; How do they know they’ve experienced What it’s possible to feel? I want t’ride my horse full out-- Feel th’ cool wind in my hair; Feel th’ power underneath me, That’s his an’ mine to share. No, I ain’t ridin’ sidesaddle; I want to sit with pride -- My body meldin’ with th’ horse, An’ match him stride for stride! An’, I’ll dare to go full out For th’ things in life I love; So, I ain’t ridin’ sidesaddle! I swear to God above! Let me relish each new day – Drink it in an’ gulp it down; You may not think my manners great – Upon me you might frown – But I ain’t ridin’ sidesaddle! Let me tell you that, my friend, Just let me meet MY life head on – Until I go ‘round th’ bend! So, till th’ Bossman in th’ sky decides to call me in – I AIN’T RIDIN’ SIDESADDLE!!!
